How to watch My hero academia in order
A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
Hello everyone, welcome back.
When I started watching anime the first thing I saw was the series Death Note, which made me watch anime.
Later I searched for some anime series and movies to watch when I came through a series called My Hero Academia.
I watched the first episode of it and instantly fell in love with it.
After watching the first season I wondered if there are more seasons, I searched it out and got to know that there are 4 seasons and 2 movies!
Now this story doesn't end here, just so you know, if you watch one season after the other, and then watch the movies, you will get in a big bad confusion, and when I say "big bad" I MEAN IT!! (Pun indented)
So today I am going to tell you guys how to watch My Hero Academia in the right order.
Season 1 is the starting point of your journey, you begin with Deku in his quest to surpass All Might one day. Having been so inspired by the man who saves people with a smile in his face, Deku takes baby steps towards reaching the symbol of peace. The Season adapts both the UA and the USJ arcs.
OVA - Rescue Training is a side story to Season-1, you can choose to watch or skip it, it doesn't really affect the main story that much.
OVA - Hero Notebook is just a customary Shonen recap syndrome byproduct. It just recaps the events of Season-1.
Season-2 marks the start of the second phase of his journey, more specifically the sports festival, the Hero Killer and the Final exams arcs.
OVA - Training of the Dead is another OVA that has little to no consequence in regards to the canon series. You can definitely check it out though if you are an avid admirer of the series.
All Might Rising(Special) is an Animated special depicting the story of All Might through his initial encounter with All For One and his subsequent departure to the United States. Though this was released in 2019, well after Season-3 and the movie, you should watch it beforehand to fully grasp the story. It's highly advised to watch it for the sake of All Might, as it serves as a veritable little backstory to him.
Two Heroes(Movie) is an adaptation of the one-shot Manga by Horikoshi. It is set between the Final Exam arc of Season-2 and the Jungle training arc of Season-3. The story revolves around I-Island and it's resident geniuses who research quirks and aid the heroes with technology.
Season-3 marks a very significant shift in the equation of heroes and villians. It adapts the Forest Training arc, Hideout raid or the All For One arc and the Provisional License Exam arc and an Anime only special episode to promote the movie Two Heroes(Episode-20). Undoubtedly the highlight of the Season was the much anticipated grudge match between All might and All for One. Anything more would simply fall under spoiler category, therefore experience it for yourself. It is also noteworthy that the final two episodes of the Season are adapted from the Shie Hassaikai arc or the Nighteye/Overhaul arc.
OVA- Make it! Do-or-die Survival Training is a special two part Anime exclusive. Although released only in August of 2020, the action takes place between the All for One arc and the Provisional License Exam arc. Therefore it is better placed to be here.
Season-4 is the latest Season in the series. The action is picked up straight from the final episodes of Season-3, as Deku with the help of Mirio/Lemillion tries to enlist with Sir Nighteye's agency for the hero work studies. Again the first episode is an Anime only exclusive story. The Season covers the Nighteye/Overhaul arc, School festival/ Gentle arc and a few standalone episodes. The Season ends with a small Endeavour arc.
Heroes Rising(movie) is another adaptation of an One-shot by Horikoshi. Set between the Meta Liberation Army arc and Endeavour Agency arc in the Manga. I'm not giving away anything about the plot since it'll only end up being a spoiler for Season-5. All I can say is that, it is much like Two Heroes, they go to an remote island and save a bunch of people with team work.
